Baseball Recap: Summit Academy Comes Up Short

Summit Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 18-0 to the Union Area Scotties. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Scotties this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Monday.

Summit Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Union Area, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Summit Academy will take on rival Leechburg at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Union Area is set to face off against their familiar foe Winchester Thurston at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (the Scotties have four straight wins, Winchester Thurston have three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
