Soccer Game Preview: Gateway vs. Island Coast

The Gateway Eagles will square off against the Island Coast Gators at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gateway will be strutting in after a win while Island Coast will be coming in after a defeat.

Gateway is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They came out on top against South Fort Myers by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday. That's two games straight that Gateway have won by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Island Coast didn't have quite enough to beat East Lee County on Wednesday and fell 2-1.

Gateway's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Island Coast, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Gateway was able to grind out a solid win over Island Coast when the teams last played back in January, winning 2-0. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Gators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
