Volleyball Recap: ASPIRA Charter Falls Short Against Ranked Middletown

ASPIRA Charter faced Middletown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Wolves took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cavaliers. The Wolves were not able to make up for their loss to the Cavaliers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

ASPIRA Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Middletown, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

The future could be bright for both ASPIRA Charter and Middletown: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Wolves will try to hand Newark their sixth-straight loss when the two meet at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Middletown will look to extend Delcastle Technical's five-game losing streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
