Soccer Recap: Klein Takes a Loss

Klein's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Tomball Memorial Wildcats by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Bearkats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 70th).

This is the second loss in a row for Klein and nudges their season record down to 5-3. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 5-3 Klein Oak (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 71.3% over those games). As for Tomball Memorial, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Klein wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Magnolia on the 12th. As for Tomball Memorial, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Klein Oak on the 12th.
