Armstrong had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Hoopeston Cornjerkers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20.

Armstrong's win bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Hoopeston, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.

Coincidentally, Armstrong and Hoopeston will both be playing Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin the next time they take the court. The Trojans will head out to face the Blue Devils at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Cornjerkers will play them later in the day, at 3:30 p.m.
