Softball Recap: Cambria-Friesland's Winning Streak Snapped at 12 Games

It was a good run, but Cambria-Friesland unfortunately witnessed the end of their 12-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 9-2 to the Lomira Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Hilltoppers have suffered since May 23, 2024.

Cambria-Friesland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Enya Heller, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Cambria-Friesland's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Lomira, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cambria-Friesland will take on Pardeeville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lomira, they will face off against Mayville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions are on a six-game streak of home wins, the Cardinals a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
