Baseball Recap: Pinecrest Academy Cadence Takes a Loss

Pinecrest Academy Cadence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 19-0 to the Rancho Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 last Thursday.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Schiess, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Rancho, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinecrest Academy Cadence will host Cimarron-Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.56 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Rancho, they will be playing at home against Western at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight.
