Soccer Recap: Memphis East Starts off Right with Win over Whitehaven

Memphis East had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. Their defense stepped up to hand the Whitehaven Tigers a 9-0 shutout. Addyson Hines was a massive factor in the win as she booted in four goals all by herself.

Coming up, Memphis East will head out to challenge Craigmont at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Whitehaven, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Memphis Central at 7:00 p.m. on September 9.
