Basketball Recap: Cypress Springs Takes a Loss

After flying high against Carencro on Friday, Cypress Springs came back down to earth. The Cypress Springs Panthers took a 47-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Brook Bruins on Saturday. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Cypress Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for West Brook, the victory was the 17th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-1.

Cypress Springs and West Brook should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Cypress Springs (ranked 158th) will meet Langham Creek (ranked 435th) at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, West Brook will take on Lee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 1,242 places (15 vs. 1257).
