Volleyball Game Preview: Lompoc Braves vs. Cabrillo Conquistadores + Official Tickets

Lompoc is 2-8 against Cabrillo since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Braves will face off against the Conquistadores at 6:00 p.m.

Lompoc lost 3-0 to Righetti on Tuesday.

Lompoc took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Cabrillo made easy work of Orcutt Academy on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win. The Conquistadores haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-14, 25-20.

Lompoc better focus on containing Taylor Savella and Jazlene Brady as the pair were huge in Cabrillo's win. Savella had three digs and three aces, while Brady had 14 assists and two aces. Brady is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Cabrillo was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in seven consecutive contests.

Lompoc's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Cabrillo, their record now sits at 18-16-1.

Lompoc suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Cabrillo when the teams last played on October 7th. Can the Braves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
