Payton Rice Game Report: @ Rowan County

East Carter was sadly handed a defeat on Wednesday, but Payton Rice did her best to prevent it. Rice tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. The effort marked the fewest earned runs she has had since back in April.

Rice and East Carter will head out on the road to challenge Frederick Douglass at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, Rice's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Raiders' five-game streak of wins on the road. With the streak broken, Rice and the Raiders surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Friday's match.
