Baseball Recap: Coastal Christian Victorious

While Coastal Christian's victory against St. David wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Centurions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Warriors on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Centurions in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Andrew Harrison made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Chase Davis was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hudson Weare, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Coastal Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-13. As for St. David's, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Coming up, Coastal Christian will square off against Wilmington Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. David's, they will take on New Life Camp at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
