Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mt. Pleasant). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Tyler Lions a 24-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Mt. Pleasant is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. Tyler's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Coincidentally, Mt. Pleasant and Tyler will both be playing Marshall the next time they take the field. Tyler will head out to face Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Mt. Pleasant will host them at 7:00 p.m. on March 21st.
