Berean Baptist Academy faced Lee Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Bulldogs took a 46-28 bruising from the Falcons. On the bright side, the 28- point performance marked the Bulldogs' highest-scoring contest to date.

Carter Beach threw for 222 yards and one touchdown on only 15 passes. Colin Strauss was his top target, picking up 80 receiving yards. On the ground, Conner Strauss rushed for 85 yards.

Lee Christian found their leader in freshman Jordan Wilson, who rushed for 199 yards and four scores on only five carries. Those 199 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Wilson.

Berean Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lee Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Berean Baptist Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sandhills Classical Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
