Softball Recap: Rayne Comes Up Short

Rayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Church Point Bears. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Rayne's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7-1. As for Church Point, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.

Coming up, Rayne will head out to face off against Acadiana at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rayne has given up an average of 13.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Church Point, they will take on Doyle in a tournament on Saturday.
