Softball Recap: Breckinridge County Takes a Loss

Breckinridge County lost against Owensboro Catholic back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Fighting Tigers fell 6-1 to the Aces. The Fighting Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Breckinridge County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Kate Bennett, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Breckinridge County's loss dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Owensboro Catholic, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-12-2.

Coming up, Breckinridge County will be playing in front of their home fans against Apollo at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Owensboro Catholic, they will take on Henderson County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Colonels' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Aces' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
