The Enumclaw Hornets will face off against the Tumwater Thunderbirds at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Enumclaw is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Enumclaw's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past Kentlake 1-0.

The team relied heavily on Cole Chiechi, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Eli Murphy also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, Tumwater was able to grind out a solid victory over Woodland on Thursday, taking the game 8-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Thunderbirds.

Enumclaw pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Tumwater, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Enumclaw skirted past Tumwater 9-8 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Thunderbirds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
