Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Shafter

The Centennial Golden Hawks will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Shafter Generals at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Centennial's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Garces Memorial. The matchup marked the Golden Hawks' most dominant victory of the season so far.

They hit Garces Memorial with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ben Alcantar, Hudson McDonald, and Kevin Zapien.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Shafter was forced to settle for a draw. They and Highland finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Friday.

The win got Centennial back to even at 5-5-1. Shafter's draw makes their record 3-4-1 this season.
