Football Game Preview: Webster City Lynx vs. Humboldt Wildcats

For the first time this season, Webster City will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to take on the Humboldt Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Webster City is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Webster City came up short against Gilbert and fell 34-21.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Humboldt). They claimed a resounding 45-7 win over Ballard. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Bombers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Webster City's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Humboldt, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Webster City ended up a good deal behind Humboldt in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, losing 28-14. Can the Lynx avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
