Soccer Game Preview: Hidden Valley vs. Cave Spring

The Hidden Valley Titans will take on the Cave Spring Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hidden Valley will be strutting in after a win while Cave Spring will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, Hidden Valley needed a bit of extra time to put away Pulaski County. They had just enough and edged out the Cougars 4-3. The victory continues a trend for Hidden Valley in their matchups with Pulaski County: they've now won six in a row.

Ariston Mabes and Truett Bartlett scored all four of Hidden Valley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Meanwhile, Cave Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to Glenvar. While losing is never fun, Cave Spring can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 159th, while Glenvar are ranked 13th).

Cave Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12-1. As for Hidden Valley, their win bumped their record up to 7-5-2.
