Baseball Preview: Fort White Indians vs. Hamilton County Trojans
The Fort White Indians will venture away from home to take on the Hamilton County Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The last five games Fort White has played (dating back to last season) have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Wednesday, Fort White needed a bit of extra time to put away Branford. They had just enough and edged out the Buccaneers 6-4.

Aaron Parnell was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Matthew Pitts was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Luis Ortiz was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Hamilton County was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They came up short against Bell, falling 15-1. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hamilton County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Luckette, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Fort White's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.67 runs across that stretch. As for Hamilton County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-1.
