Football Recap: Van Meter Finds Playoff Glory Versus Roland-Story

With a playoff win on the line, Van Meter rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 24-14 victory over the Roland-Story Norsemen. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Bulldogs were the (much) better team in the second half.

The win (which was Van Meter's fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.8 points over those games. As for Roland-Story, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3.

Coming up, Van Meter will face off against Mid-Prairie on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Golden Hawks have now posted at least 31 points in their last six matchups. Roland-Story does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
