John Carroll Catholic had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 38-26 victory over the Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves on Thursday. The win was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on 11 straight.

John Carroll Catholic found their leader in freshman Olivia Laughlin, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds. That's the most boards Laughlin has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Camryn Clive, who scored 13 points.

John Carroll Catholic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive matchups.

John Carroll Catholic pushed their record up to 19-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.2 points over those games. As for Oxbridge Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.
