Basketball Recap: Kentucky Country Day Takes a Loss

Kentucky Country Day played a tough match on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Christian Academy Warriors, falling 67-21. The Bearcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-14.

Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Carly Stevens, who went 7 for 13 on her way to 17 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. Stevens is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alexus Bryant, who went 6 of 10 en route to 13 points and three steals.

Kentucky Country Day has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Christian Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-10.

Kentucky Country Day has already played their next contest (against Collins), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Christian Academy will challenge Rock Creek Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
