Baseball Game Preview: Colebrook Academy Mohawks vs. Lin-Wood Lumberjacks

Colebrook Academy has gone 8-2 against Lin-Wood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Mohawks will welcome the Lumberjacks at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lin-Wood will be up against a hot Colebrook Academy squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Mohawks were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over Lisbon on Tuesday.

Kamren Dowse was incredible, going 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Vinny Santamaria, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Lin-Wood got the win against Moultonborough Academy on Wednesday by a conclusive 8-2.

Lin-Wood has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Colebrook Academy, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4.

Colebrook Academy beat Lin-Wood 6-1 when the teams last played on May 1st. Do the Mohawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lumberjacks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
