Softball Recap: Righetti Finds Playoff Glory Versus Clovis

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Righetti had no problem doing just that on Friday. They never let the Clovis Cougars get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Considering the Warriors have won 11 matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Emily Fortin was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Isabella Ojeda, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Righetti has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Clovis, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-16.

Righetti didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Stockdale on the 20th. Clovis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
