Horn waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They put the hurt on the Skyline Raiders with a sharp 15-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Zoie Armstrong was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmine Uribe, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Horn was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. They are a perfect 16-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Horn's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-9-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games. As for Skyline, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.
Coming up, Horn will take on Harker Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. Skyline does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
