Football Recap: Mifflin Punchers vs. Northland Vikings
Mifflin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 58-6 loss at the hands of the Northland Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Punchers of the 34-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
Northland found their leader in underclassman Akeilles Harrison, who threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also rushed for 50 yards.
Mifflin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Northland, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
