Baseball Recap: Lancaster Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Lancaster duked it out with Knight on Monday. The Eagles lost 8-2 to the Hawks. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 15-5.

Lancaster's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Knight, they moved to 6-12 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Lancaster will take on Antelope Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles are facing the Antelopes at the right time seeing as the Antelopes are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Knight, they will face off against Eastside at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hawks will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: the Lions will have lost seven straight heading into Wednesday's game.
