After a string of nine wins, Halifax Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Lawrence Academy Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-13.

Halifax Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Payton Odom, who had 14 assists and nine digs, and Emma Inscoe, who had 20 digs and two aces. Odom is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

Halifax Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Lawrence Academy, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Halifax Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Albemarle School on the 18th. As for Lawrence Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Greenfield on the 17th.
