Thatcher scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the ALA - Ironwood Warriors by a score of 10-9. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Brant Duncan was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Paxton Echols, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Duncan wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Thatcher kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.

Thatcher dropped their record down to 3-3 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for ALA - Ironwood, their victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-4.

Coming up, Thatcher will be taking part in a tournament against Benson at 11:30 a.m. on March 14th. As for ALA - Ironwood, they will take on Florence at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
