Basketball Recap: Glenrock Comes Up Short

Glenrock lost against Douglas back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Glenrock Herders were beaten by the Douglas Bearcats 89-18. The match marked the Herders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Lauren Olsen continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Douglas, going 18 for 30 on her way to 44 points and five assists. Olsen has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last 31 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Wright, who went 6 of 10 en route to 14 points along with eight steals and six boards.

Glenrock's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Douglas, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Glenrock will face off against Rawlins at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Douglas has already played their next contest, an 86-14 victory against Burns on the 1st.
