Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Red Cloud's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

If Heartland Lutheran wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Red Cloud, they should've done a better job of containing Logan Brown. The Red Cloud Warriors strolled past the Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 42-25 thanks in part to Brown, who posted 17 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Heartland Lutheran lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ella Francl, who put up six points and eight boards. Abigail Uden was another key player, putting up three points and three steals.

Red Cloud is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Heartland Lutheran, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-10.
