Volleyball Recap: Notre Dame Academy Takes a Loss

Notre Dame Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the De Pere Redbirds, falling 3-0. If the Tritons were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Redbirds when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Notre Dame Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made De Pere work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 26-24, 25-18.

Hadley Stenavich paced Notre Dame Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Stenavich got some help from Addy Madson and her seven assists. Chayse Penzenstadler controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Among those leading the charge was Kayli Raygo, who had six digs and two aces. What's more, she racked up seven assists, the most she's had over her last three matchups.

Notre Dame Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for De Pere, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-11.

Looking ahead, Notre Dame Academy will challenge Waterloo at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for De Pere, they will face off against Pulaski at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
