Soccer Game Preview: Stem Preparatory Academy vs. Pearl-Cohn

The Stem Preparatory Academy Chargers will head out on the road to face off against the Pearl-Cohn Firebirds at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stem Preparatory Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.

Pearl-Cohn better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Stem Preparatory Academy's game on Thursday is any indication, that's when Stem Preparatory Academy really gets things going. The Chargers were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over Lead Southeast. Mohammad Sharbatji was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Pearl-Cohn was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to LEAD Academy.

Stem Preparatory Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those five matchups. As for Pearl-Cohn, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything went Stem Preparatory Academy's way against Pearl-Cohn when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Stem Preparatory Academy made off with a 9-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
