Softball Game Preview: A.C. Reynolds Rockets vs. McDowell Titans

The A.C. Reynolds Rockets will challenge the McDowell Titans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A.C. Reynolds has given up an average of 8.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

A.C. Reynolds fell victim to West Henderson and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 19-0 to the Falcons. The loss continues a trend for the Rockets in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, McDowell got themselves on the board against Erwin on Wednesday, but Erwin never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 11-0 victory. Considering the Titans have won four games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

McDowell's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for A.C. Reynolds, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

A.C. Reynolds came out on top in a nail-biter against McDowell in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. Does A.C. Reynolds have another victory up their sleeve, or will McDowell turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
