Upper Sandusky is a perfect 6-0 against Seneca East since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Rams will host the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Upper Sandusky is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.
On Wednesday, Upper Sandusky got the win against Central Catholic by a conclusive 11-4. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Aleah McCann spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Madison Hart was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That stolen base was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hope Morris, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Upper Sandusky kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Seneca East posted their closest victory since April 6, 2024 on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over Carey. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.
The team relied heavily on Luella Burkholder, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Madi Smith was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Seneca East pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Upper Sandusky, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.
Upper Sandusky came out on top in a nail-biter against Seneca East in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 10-9. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
