Soccer Recap: West Valley Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three games, West Valley finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of the North Central Wolfpack by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as West Valley came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while North Central are ranked 148th).

With the defeat, West Valley broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-3. As for North Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Valley will face off against Pullman at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pullman will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something West Valley surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Central, they will challenge Clarkston at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Central are facing Clarkston at the right time seeing as Clarkston are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
