Basketball Recap: Eustace Comes Up Short

Eustace was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 66-19 loss at the hands of the Malakoff Tigers. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Heagen Manken was Eustace's leading scorer, having posted six points. Aurora Powell took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Eustace's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Malakoff, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Mineola the next time they take the court. Malakoff will head out to face Mineola at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Eustace will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on January 21st.
