Soccer Recap: Excelsior Classical Academy Starts off Right with Win over Raleigh Charter

Excelsior Classical Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Raleigh Charter Phoenix a 1-0 shutout. The game got a bit rough at times, as the refs handed out a total of four yellow cards before it was all over.

Excelsior Classical Academy wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 6-0 win against Southern Wake Academy on the 20th. As for Raleigh Charter, they will take on Triad Math and Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
