Basketball Recap: Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Comes Up Short

Our Lady of the Lake Catholic lost against Michigan Lutheran last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Lakers lost to the Michigan Lutheran Titans at home by a 67-48 margin.

Michigan Lutheran's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Micah Herbst, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds Herbst has posted since back in December of 2024. Connor Olson was another key player, putting up 15 points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Our Lady of the Lake Catholic has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. Michigan Lutheran has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Our Lady of the Lake Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Michigan Lutheran, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-52 win against New Buffalo on the 28th.
