Softball Recap: Kennewick Takes a Loss

Kennewick extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping their season record down to 7-11 in the process. They lost 14-0 to the Richland Bombers. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Lions were not able to get on the board.

As for Richland, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

For Richland's part, the team relied heavily on Jordan Brannon, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Sophia Sams, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Richland beat Kennewick by a score of 14-2 later that day.
