Basketball Recap: North Central Takes a Loss

North Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 49-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Norway Knights. While losing is never fun, the Jets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 464th, while the Knights are ranked 158th).

North Central's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Norway, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Central will square off against Munising at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Munising will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something North Central surely won't give up without a fight. As for Norway, they will face off against Bark River-Harris at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Bark River-Harris has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
