Basketball Game Preview: Potomac Senior Panthers vs. Charles J. Colgan Sharks

Potomac Senior is 9-1 against Charles J. Colgan since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Potomac Senior Panthers will challenge the Charles J. Colgan Sharks at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Potomac Senior comes in on eight and Charles J. Colgan on five.

Last Friday, Potomac Senior beat Forest Park 49-42.

Potomac Senior found their leader in sophomore Amani Asare, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 18 points. The game was Asare's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Kong Twanga was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, Charles J. Colgan earned a 63-54 win over Freedom on Friday.

Charles J. Colgan's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Potomac Senior, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Potomac Senior took their victory against Charles J. Colgan in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 57-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Potomac Senior since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
