Kapolei is 7-1 against Waipahu since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Kapolei Hurricanes will finish 2024 at home by hosting the Waipahu Marauders at 7:00 p.m. Waipahu took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Kapolei, who comes in off a win.

Kapolei is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since January 9th on Monday. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 47-44 victory from a begrudging Hurricanes squad.

Meanwhile, Waipahu lost to Campbell on the road by a 57-43 margin on Monday.

Kapolei's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.6 points per game. As for Waipahu, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Kapolei was able to grind out a solid victory over Waipahu in their previous meeting back in January, winning 47-35. Will Kapolei repeat their success, or does Waipahu have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
