Volleyball Recap: Fossil Ridge Beats Boulder for Their Third Straight Victory

Fossil Ridge had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Boulder on Tuesday. The SaberCats blew past the Panthers 3-0. The victory was familiar territory for the SaberCats, who have now won three contests in a row.

Fossil Ridge not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Boulder between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15, 25-18.

Tannor Christians paced Fossil Ridge's offense, picking up ten kills. Christians got some help from Jason Mynatt and his 21 assists. Trevor Baldwin controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Fossil Ridge's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5. As for Boulder, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Fossil Ridge will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Niwot at 6:30 p.m. As for Boulder, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Colorado Springs Christian on the 23rd.
