Softball Recap: Brimfield's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Brimfield had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against the Riverdale Rams as they made off with an 8-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 22 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Brimfield, bringing their record up to 30-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Riverdale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 25-5-1 record this season.

Brimfield will face off against Seneca at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Fighting Irish's pitching crew has only allowed 1.1 runs per game this season, so the Indians' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Riverdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
