Basketball Recap: Ridge Point Takes a Loss

Ridge Point was the 56-54 winner over Pearland when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers lost to the Oilers on the road by a 70-52 margin on Friday.

Ridge Point's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Pearland, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Looking ahead, Ridge Point won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Deer Park at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will be up against the Deer's rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.67 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Pearland, they will square off against Sam Rayburn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Oilers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
