Soccer Game Preview: Swett vs. Kennedy

Swett hasn't had much luck against Kennedy recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Swett Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Kennedy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Swett is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of St. Patrick-St. Vincent.

Meanwhile, Kennedy came up short against Bethel on Tuesday and fell 4-2. One thing that didn't help the Eagles' chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Francisco Perez.

Ricardo Lopez and Mario Cisneros scored both of Kennedy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 32 goals.

Kennedy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8-4 record this season. As for Swett, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10-1.

Swett suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to Kennedy when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Swett avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
