Football Recap: Trayvon Lewis and Cameron Stennett Pace Concordia Prep Defense

Concordia Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 14-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gilman Greyhounds. The Saints were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Greyhounds apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Concordia Prep didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Trayvon Lewis and Cameron Stennett.

The critical scores for Gilman came from Aiden Johnson and Zane Krikstan.

Concordia Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Gilman, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Concordia Prep will welcome McDonogh at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gilman, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-7 victory against Calvert Hall on the 24th.
